Are Your Seat Belts Fastened?

Last evening our neighbor, Bruce Fuchs, came over to do an organ transplant on the OzWiz's desktop, swapping out an ill CD drive for a new one. The operation, helped out by flashlight, was a success so now there is a workable drive.

One of my first acts today was to insert a Kodak Photo CD that I very recently had processed. With 27-photos going back to Christmastime you can figure out how many snaps I take when at quarterback.

This program not only brought up these 27-pics it also sucked up ALL the photos I have on my HD so that I ended up with 171-photos when I was only expecting 27. I now have an album with all these in one place.

Of course I wanted to e-mail a photo or two to see how it works and that was done. The only problem I have is that while it is easy to bring up the photo you want, write any message of wisdom to go with it, click the Send button, nothing indicates that the photo was sent. I wrote e-mails to the folks asking them if the photo was received. So far no replies. It's early.

Today's newspaper had the names of the traffic victims of Monday's horrific crash. The lad, age 14, was to have graduated Middle School on Friday. He was killed at the scene. His mother was air lifted to a nearby hospital and later died of her injuries. Since both were ejected on impact I doubt if their seat belts were fastened. The other driver, amazingly, was released from the hospital with only minor injuries. His truck, however had major damage while the auto is recognized only as scrap metal.

Have you belted a loved one today?
